Overview

Background

The area of research related to the semiconductor devices modeling and electronic materials is a branch of the science with a worldwide evident relevancy for the technological development, with constant advances and discoveries developed in the leading universities of the world and research and development groups related to the electronic industry.

Numerical analysis and modeling have become fundamental tools for the design and generation of new and better electronic devices. With the computational methods is possible to obtain and to improve the response of devices for an immense range of stimuli, under different operation conditions or for different applications, such as space missions, offering very important knowledge before experimentation.

Organizing an event like the one proposed is very important for the development of the scientific community of Argentina and of the region, due to it will allow knowing the state of the art of the modern techniques on semiconductor devices modeling.

Aims and Scope

An exhaustive description of the current methods and theories used for development of numerical models to study the materials and their application to electron devices is very significant; this will@ÏÏð<Ÿhe potential and advantages of their use for the study and prediction of new and better semiconductor devices.

Furthermore, the purpose of this workshop is to interact with distinguished researchers and to establish relationships and cooperations between participating scientists, motivating the audience to continue with more and better works in this line of research, and making possible the generation of new projects, future collaborations and the training of human resources.

A proceeding of the meeting with an ISBN entry will be produced.
