The workshop deals with topics related to first principles calculations of electronic, magnetic and structural properties of materials. The focus will be to show the predictive capability of this type of calculations to describe physical properties in a very precise way.

The scope of the workshop are those researchers that make this kind of calculation in the country or neighboring countries. The workshop is not limited to researchers or students working with these tools of calculation. On the contrary, we would like to invite to participate all those researchers who work in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics in order to obtain information and participate in the use of these calculation methods, to interpret the experimental results more precisely without to use parameters or empirical or semi-empirical models, and get a deeper microscopic understanding of the phenomena under study.
